With the last dunk pickup being a nice GR release, it’s back to the the hype with the Nike SB Dunk Low Raygun Tye Dye.

Nike Dunk SB Low Raygun Black with White Laces WDYWT On Feet — **Nike SB Dunk Low Raygun Tye Dye Black**

I grabbed both the black and white colorways of this quickstrike. The shoes are based on the 2005 Nike SB Raygun releases, which in turn are based on a fictional time traveling ABA team. The black pair is the “home” team and white is away.

I never owned the originals and I was only planning on getting the black pair of this version. The tye dyed white toebox on the away pair looked sort of dirty to me at first. After seeing the shoe in hand for an extended period of time, I came around and wound up getting both pairs and now I’m glad I did!

Nike Dunk Low SB White Raygun Black Laces WDYWT On Feet — **Nike SB Dunk Low Raygun Tye Dye White**

These feature a raygun-toting alien embroidery on the heel just like the original Raygun dunks. These also feature a 58 on the inside tongue tag, and say RAYGUNS on the front of the tag. They differ from the OGs by adding in a tye dye pattern on the upper and insole. This is a tribute to the late Sandy Bodecker, who often wore a tye dye Rayguns hoodie. Both shoes ship with black and white laces. This release includes lace bags.

How Are The Materials?

The Rayguns both utilize a black leather upper. The leather quality is thick and seems to be overall very good!

This is a definitely a “looks” shoe more than a “materials” shoe, but the sneaker is well put together and I’m pleased with the quality of the sneakers. I think dunk collectors will still appreciate the craftsmanship put into these even if they only feature leather on the uppers.

How Do They Fit?

These Nike SB Dunk Low Raygun Tye Dye are comfortable at a half size up.

I went true to size on these. I do feel like I’m needing to break them in a bit more, but the leather is loosening up quickly and I feel like these will fit perfectly fine after a few wears. The comfort is acceptable for now.
